About the event

📚 About the Program

Join us for the first event of the 2026 “We the People” lecture series — a special, hands-on history workshop where participants get to explore original archival material from CSPM. Under the guidance of historian Amy Kohout, you’ll learn how historians interpret the past, using letters, diaries, newspapers, maps, photographs, and more. Together, we’ll examine how sources shape our understanding of history, and practice building your own evidence-based narratives.

This session will also reflect on the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood.
